Would you happen to have a part number for the splash kit? What exactly is it and does it work good for the 400? $?

Mine doesn't get wet all that often but I take it easy...

Sorry, I don't know the p/n. I have only read about the kit. Your dealer should be able to help you. I'll be going to my dealer today. I'll try to remember to ask him.

if your freinds race on MX tracks then you might not want the Scrambler but other than that, it is twice the machine by far.

I talked to a friend today and he said if u putt around on a polaris it will eat the belt. is there any truth to this? I really won't one ( and fixing to get one) but i just want to know what i am getting my self into.I will be doing alot of slow riding in woods, and on rivers and stuff. Oh, let me get this right so if u go slow and hit water the belt don' slip, but if u go fast it does?I was looking at the 500 at the local shop the other day, and it look like u could i pretty deep stuff before water even gets up that far.has anything changed from 2000 and 2001,b/c i can get a new 2000 still on floor for 5,089(cost)500 4x4

Don't worry about belt problems. They are mostly myths. If they were as bad as people (who don't own Polaris) say, there wouldn't be so many of them out on the trails. And this Polaris forum wouldn't exist. The reason belts can get wet on fast water entries is because of the splash. If you can get a good price on any Polaris, I'd say go for it. You won't be disappointed. Click on the link to my web site and look at the pictures of what we put our Polaris's through. If you're not convinced after looking at them, then you're on your own.

Hey, Jeepster, I have a 400 2X4 that I've modified and beaten within an inch of it's life. I've hurt one pitson athrough all of it, so that's not too bad of a score. Are you getting that price out of Hattiesburg, MS.? They seem to have about the lowest prices on the Gulf Coast.
