I do understand your point of view, and can sympathize. However, you stated "of course Gore is not a good choice" This is how Clinton won the last election. Some voted for Dole, and some for Perot. Combine those votes and Clinton would have been out. You don't want to vote for either because you don't like either. Ok, You said it's stupid for us to ask you to vote for the lesser of two evils. I don't understand your thinking. If you don't vote for the lesser of two evils, then the greater of two evils wins. Then we all lose. Nothing in this world is perfect, there's never going to be a perfect candidate. You have to vote for the one who comes closest to your views.

Someone brought up we're against Gore because of what a friend told a friend. This is from the NYPost. While I don't believe that any man is 100% honest all the time. I will be voting for Bush/Cheney. As has been said previously a vote for a third party at this time would be a waste of a vote because none of them are popular enough at this time. If they were I would definately be voting differently. I also think that not voting will result in worst of two evils coming into office as it has in the past.
I do think if Gore becomes president that restrictions will be placed on ATVs and more. I also value my second amendment rights and will never give that up.
I also think it is very odd at this time that the media, who I have always taken as being very liberal, have brought up the fact that Gore blatently lied during this first debate. I guess we will just have to wait to see how the rest of them come out and are portrayed.

 

In response to a few posts, it seems most people are voting on single issues. As far as ATV's, I like to see pristine, unspoiled land when I'm outdoors. Bush wants to rape the land and the last wilderness in Alaska for a fraction of our actual energy needs. Let's not forget the Bush's made their millions in oil. As for the abortion issue, some are obviously against it. I also do not personally believe in it in most cases as there are alternitives such as adoption, etc. However, I believe in document called the constitution which says SEPATATION OF CHURCH AND STATE, which is what this country was founded on. A few here say it's ok for the govt. to force their religous views on what a woman does with her body. But these same people say it's not ok for the govt. to take your guns and hunting rights away. It's called a double standard. If you give big govt. the right to take away a woman's choice, whats next? Although there is not much of a choice in candidates, I'm going with the lesser of two evils. Bush's tax cuts help the wealthiest of Americans, those making over 1 million a year.

In a cotinuing effort to keep this a "free" country "of the people, by the people and for the people" of course i am voting for Bush. There is no other option, there is no other choice. If you are in favor of giving up your personal freedoms to big government feel free to vote for Al Gore. Our forefathers fought and died so that we could enjoy the benefits of a free and democratic society, this includes freedom from an ever increasing oppresive govt that we seem to face today. From frivilous lawsuits on the rise and personal accountability on the decline its time we really think about what direction we are heading.
