More CV Boot Fun
After two separate attempts to replace my CV boot, I may have to take it to the shop. I can't the boot to stay on the cv hub. I even have the cv clamp tool. Are the Polaris clamps better? I got a set of clamps with my gorilla boots that $ucked and didn't work. Then I went to Autozone and tryed a set of their clamps. I tested it yesterday, and that didn't work either. This last attempt I disassembled the whole hub, cleaned all the grease off the hub surface that the boot and clamp hook to, and clamped it up tight.
Any ideas?

More CV Boot Fun
The clamps that came with my replacement boots had two little tabs on each side that had to be bent over. I ran the clamp around the boot once and pulled it tight. The first one broke the end off.
The second clamp was stronger. It had a latch that flipped over on itself when you tightened it. This flipping actually made the clamp tighter. But I was worried about the clip hitting the hub housing and ripping off.
The stock clamps look really solid. Is there a special Polaris tool for them, other than a standard cv clamp tool?
