Sportsman 700 engine starts screaming
If it won't go any faster than that in high range, I suspect a definate clutch problem. I would check everything out that was already mentioned, but I'll add one more thing. If the white plastic EBS limiter nut loosens up inside of the primary clutch it will not allow the
clutch to fully shift out, therefore limiting the top end. This exact same thing happend to my '03 sp600, and it took my dealer 2 weeks to
figure it out. If you do a search on here you'll see my postings and many others on this same problem.

I took off all "the gear" to get to the clutch.....and what do you know.......the white plastic nut was in there rolling around. I think i may have taken out a bushing or bearing also though. But anyway thanks for the help......you nailed it !!!!
