They have hub fluid, but Type-F or synthetic ATF fluid works, too. I think it takes around 4 ounces a side. You pull out the drain plug, turn it to the 6 oclock so it drains completely, then fill it at the 12 oclock, then turn it to the four o'clock so about half drains out.
In other words, it is full when the drain plug is at the four or eight o'clock position, a little less than half full.

Oh sorry, I'm the one being ignorant, didnt read your signature. I was talking about the outboard wheel hubs.
I am not as familiar with the central gearcase, but I would imagine that could also cause the problem you are describing. I think that I just put hub oil in that gearcase, but I think that synthetic ATF works fine as well. Not sure how much it holds, I think my service manual is at camp.

First off, "Thanks for all the help" I have put alot of blood, sweat, tears and money into this machine and I really hate to give up on it.
Where is the drain on the hubs I have had the hubs off several times, but have never seen a drain or grease point. I have put gorilla axles on the front but have not seen a drain.

Sorry if I was unclear, I do not think the 600 has the outboard hubs. All you have is a center gearcase like the 05's, correct? The outboard hubs are the black ones with the plastic cap in the center. I don't think the twins ever had them, so ignore anything I said about the hubs, but I do think you need to change your gearcase oil, the differential-like think in the center.
