Belt deflection
It does set about a 1/16" to 1/8" out of the secondary it just has to much defection in the middle. You can push it down over 1 1/4" and I have read in many different places it should be tight. The belt is pretty new with about 200 miles on it and I checked it yesterday and it still measured like new.

Don't have a service manual, but what I have read over at the ATV Quad Squad under Heel Clicker where they had a long discussion on belt deflection, they say no belt deflection.
Powerslider hit it on the head, so time for a new belt. Keep the old belt for a spare if it is not in to bad of shape....
check your clutch alignment too and shim if necessary.....

You should be able to adjust your belt deflection by removing your secondary clutch and remove a shim or 2 from the sheaves, when the quads come from the factory they do not all have the same shims in them and the dealerships don't set them right half the time either. On the ebs models you want to run the belt as tight as possible for the best perofrmance you do not have to worry about them creeping because of the ebs system. If you are wondereing how to remove the washer/shims from your seconday sheaves you can call our tech line and we would walk you through it if you would like but it shoudl also show you haw to do this in your manual as well.
