Default Need Some Advice

Hey i got a scrammy 500 in december 04 and i am very unhappy with it. It is a big 500 and it wont pull hardly anything itll jus start smoking and burn up the clutch. I was at the lake last weekend and was in the sand and i got stuck and put it in 4wd and the wheels wouldnt move and the burned up im so pissed. So i want to trade it in for a preddy 500 TL edition is this smart. i mean other than the clutch smoking this fourwheeler has been flawless so i should be able to get a good trade right????

I rode one with a hot seat clutch kit and I tried to smoke the belt and couldn't do it! Maybe you need a clutch kit??

I suggest that you learn how to ride a CVT .I have rode them for years and have yet to "smoke "a belt.

Yeah "old man" get into the rocker LMAO

A little more sensitive??????? Give me a break. If you know how to ride the machine and you use the high/low range correctly then you have either a venting problem or the clutches have issues, ie alighment, deflection, broken parts, etc.

Why did u buy it if u had plans to pull stuff with it? it doesnt have a low range, our dealer told us not to pull anything with it because there not built for it, ive had the belt somking on mine but thats cuz it was 90 degree's out and i had it pinned in the mudd, I recommend a clutch kit and exhaust, really help it get offf the line and have more spunk, like every1 else said

Hey cbfreeman709. Its doubtful that you got the rear wheels so jammed it couldn't get it out. You probably got sand or mud jammed in the chain.. stops it dead. If you don't clean it out, you will burn the belt. It happens most often when you high center the rear axle in thick really gooey mud. The mud gets jam packed into the front and rear sprockets and chain. You have to be careful with any chain driven quad because in this type of situation.
