Need Dimensions of 2005 Lock and Ride Rear Cargo Trunk for Sportsman
#3
Thanks, just the outside dimensions. I want to figure out if I think it will hold more than some of the others on the market. How do you like yours? How do you think it compares to other brands on the market? With so many available it's hard to decide.

Here's some measurements;
38 1/2" wide with an extra 1 1/2" for each molded in handle on the sides.
11 1/4" tall, 9" on the interior the walls are 1" thick.
13" deep at the base with a 3" depression around the back of the seat, 15" at the hinge latch area.
I will hold 4-1 gal gas cans side by side with a little extra room.
The box is very well built and fits just inside the rack extender with out touching anywhere, the lock n ride setup works great also, take about 5 seconds to install or remove. I also got the side bags that attach on each side of the front, the bags are very heavy cordura type fabric and padded on all sides/bottom. You have to buy a loop kit the bolts to the front of the box (5.00), the nuts are molded into the box already, no drilling. The bags have long velcro straps that feed through the loops and they are very secure when installed.
The box isn't as big as some so I guess it depends on how much stuff you need to carry but it looks to be very durable. I'll probably carry gas cans in it to feed the 800 on those longer U P rides.
