I'm wondering if anyone uses a portable pressure to clean their ATV? I'm interested in a gas powered one in the 5 hp range. I need suggestions please. Thanks..

I use an electric pressure washer, 1700 PSI, and it works great !!

I've never used a gas powered washer. How strong is the one you're looking at ?

 

I also use a 1700 psi electric pressure washer.

Same, electric here...wow...I've used gas to strip paint off a house but damn that must clean the quad like super good...doesn't it rip the stickers right off?

 

I have a gas troy bilt pressure washer. 2.2 gallons per minute / 2200 psi 5.5hp. It easily does the job. Just remember not to use anything less than a 15 degree spray tip or you can cut the plastic with it! Stickers gone, grease gone, and yes all mud gone.

 

P.S. get the turbo tip that spins the water stream. It is amazing what will come off with that thing[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

ive got a honda 4hp with 2200psi and i tor up the sticker on my old 250ex

 

sure would be nice if water just magicly appeared out of there, i would take the pressure washer everywhere, i'd make a back pack for it[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]hate riding a dirty quad

 

Haven't looked at electric models. Can you plug them in to 110? I want something compareable to the pressure of a car wash or a touch more. Thanks again.

 

I've go a 6.75hp, 2400psi, bought at sears on sale, works awesome, dont put it close to your stickers though, it'll rip em right off.
