I just got a 90cc polaris for my kid, but it misses alot at full throttle, havent been able to get a manual yet, does anybody know anything about the governors they use on these?

 

What year is it? MOst of the newer polaris 90cc quads have a 10-12mph limiter on them that you can disconect and they they also have a revlimiter in the cdi box as well that is set and can only be replaced/removed if a no rev limit cdi box is installed. How fast do you figure the machine is going when it is cutting out? It could possibly be jetting as well.

 

Hey, thank's, it's a 2002.......Just finished playing with the carb and it seems to be running a lot better, still not much for top end though (10-12mph like you said) how do i disconnect the limiter ??

 

No sure what color it is but I believeit either red or black it shoudl ahve a screw on it to disconnect it.

 

where do I find the wire though, internally? or is it out in the open ??

 

Front left side of the machine above the carb you should see a small black box with several wire coming out of it.
