So last night I decided to mount up my PWK carb 39mm on my scrambler 300, I will need to make some type of adapter so that I can get the carb to mount to the stock manifold but thats not a big deal.

I went to plug the choke into the new carb and it doesn;t fit the threads on the mikuni choke are about 1/4 inch to small. I don;t know why but I was under the impression that the choke would fit........Is there a particular choke I need?

I never used the choke with the mikuni carb and chance I could just plug the whole? I don;t mind an on the carb choke if anyone knows were to find one of those.

 

If you had a 34 mikuni on it,the 39 will fit.You need to start it at an angle then turn it as you go in,once you get it you will see what i am talkin about.You can get the plunger type choke **** at carbpartswarehouse.com., it will eliminate the cable.

 

An adaptor may also give you a velocity problem. And slow you down.
