Have you took the carb completely apart and cleaned it?

I can't get at the carb, there is too much stuff in the way. Is there an easier way to get at it? I did notice that when i choke it it boggs even more. Possible bad gas?

Sounds like you are to rich if you pull the choke and it gets worse. What year is your 335?

It is a 99 sportsman335, picked it up from a friend. I also noticed small amount of oil in the air box.

Oil in the air box is usually from a turn over or from being on its side. You did put a new air filter in right? Does it have a prefilter over the main air filter if it does it needs to be cleaned to get to oil off.

no rolls or anything. Tried running with out the filter for a moment or two and it made no difference.

The only thing I can recommend is take the carb off and clean it and look for any cracks in your carb boots. The carb on my 700 looks like it would be a pain to get off but after I have took it off a few times it not that bad I can have it setting on the bench in about 5mins.

Thank you for the help and advise. I got to the carb, clean and sound. It wasn't as hard as I thought. I started it to see if I could find a leak or stuck something. And I noticedd smoke from the head. I think the gasket is cracked. Think that would do same thing?

That could be some of your problem head gasket blown. Have you been adding any antifreeze lately?
