I posted in the scrambler mods post that it would be cool if HPD would sell a modded scrambler new from polaris with the HPD mods already installed. Today I was playing MX VS ATV Unleashed(Im addicted) and love the way the quads look with custom THQ stickers and plastics and remembered the post I made and really think this would be a great idea for the polaris atvs. Instead of buying an 05' scrambler from a polaris dealer you would buy an HPD 05' scrambler and the mods would be included so you wouldn't have to pay so much for part you wouldn't use(old stock parts you replace). It could come with a custom graphics kit with cool HPD and polaris scrambler Modded 500HO incorporated into the graphics. If HPD could order the new scramblers from the plant without said stock parts at a discounted price, as it is incomplete, then they add thier plastic with custom graphics and all the modded parts and you would still pay alot less as you would save money from not having to buy the upgrades, and HPD would make money from the sale of the quad(instead of the dealer) and you could get a new quad with the upgrades you want for a cheaper price.

example:
partial quad from polaris -$4,200
upgrades and graphics -$1,200
labor from HPD -$600
HPD markup - $500

total - $6,500 for a bada$$ fully modded HPD quad complete with custom graphics.

These numbers are just estimates, I didn't do any research.

I know there a many companys that do this sort of thing for trucks and cars so why not atvs?

$6,000 for stock scrambler, $1,200 for HPD upgrades installed by you over time and eventualy you have a $7,200 year old quad? Or buy it new for $6,500 and you don't have to tear anything apart or do any work, its already done for you.

What do you guys think?

 

i think hpd should lower the price on there race quads so i could afford one[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
