Winter is coming and and my SCRAMBLER 400 does'nt like it. It's only jetted for temps. from 40-80 degrees. It's been getting to be around 30 some mornings and I've been blowing plugs.
I really need help with jetting my machine before it locks up tighter than fort knocks!!!

Thanks for your help.

First, it would be nice to know what jetting you are running? Is your machine stock?

Just talked to my mechanic over the weekend about my 2000 SC 400 and the same jetting question. He said they come with a 230 main from the factory and the books say to go up to a 250 for the temperatures you are talking about. If I remember right, you need to go to a 260 or 270 for below zero temps. I picked up a 250 for mine but haven't put it in yet. So far, here in Minnesota, I haven't had to worry about these temperatures yet. But they are just around the corner I'm sure. Good luck.

Yes a 260 or a 250 read the plug and if your close you can also go one step colder on the spark plug.
