Default Weighed my 2005 sportsman 500

I weighed my quad in my garage today with the help of the crewline atv lift. I got about 896# loaded with accessories, rear box, etc.

May 2005 issue of ATV Magazine says wet weight is 768#.
I weighed my accessories and added it to 768# and I come up to about the same weight I got in my garage today.

900# is heavy. I like the weight, despite what the mags say about it's disadvantages. I think the advantages in towing, ride quality, etc. outweigh any disadvantage of sportiness. If I want sportiness I can just ride another quad.

It's only heavy when it lands on top of you!

That is one way of looking at it

Realistically, if you need to man handle it to load it in a trailer or bed of a truck Then that is heavy
