i am about ready to order a new set of tires and rims. I have decided mud lites and c series rims. What I don't know is the difference between the mud lite and the mud lite xl. Which would fit me better. I do mostly trail riding but also am in the mud quite a bit. Also on my 2004 Sportsman 500 should I go with the 25 in or jump up to a little bit bigger. Perhaps a 26 or 27 in.

i believe xl means the tire has a deeper lug, would be good for mud but posibly a rougher ride. and big tires always look good

 

I had the 25" mudlites and i loved them. They were awsome in the mud and on the trail. Then I bought the 26" xl's and what a difference, the pull even better in the mud and run good on the trail. the both run smooth on the trail. I see two little down fall's. 1) the rubber is a soft compound the y tend to wear quickly. 2) they aren't are as good in reverse as in forward. But i would buy them again. Hope this helps.

I just ordered a set of 25 inch mudlite XL's on ebay. They were 230 with shipping, was that a good deal? I had about that much in paypal credits from selling something so I wasn't extremely worried about price, kinda found money.
