I just can't see anything with two connecting rods on one piston turning 18k It's just too much mass to flop up and down. Plus how the heck would the valves be able to keep up. You'd have to have some super tight valve springs and if you did that that just adds to all the other crap keeping the revs down.

This is the internet, anyone can post anything. Its obvious this engine will not be going into a quad anytime this decade or century, but maybe Polaris will have a 450 with some extra treats in it like fuel injection or twin spark plugs - we'll see tomorrow. Its just plain obvious that a high-tech marvel like this will cost too much to produce, never mind develop. If Honda (megacorp) couldn't do it in a street bike, there's no way Polaris will do in a shaken, abused, jumped, raced performance quad. It's laughable really (18,000 RPM). If they do, I'll eat my Raptor's seat for supper and never be heard or seen again!! Anyway, I'll still interested in what's in store for 06 (IRS in a sport quad has got my attention!!!!!!!).
