Default 2004 Sportsman Front Struts

Has anyone had to replace the front struts on their 04 Sportsman. Went all over the front end after I started to get this banging when the suspension would drop out, like when the front end drops into a pot hole. Thought it might be the upper strut bushings but they don't seem to have any wear on them. Pulled a strut and when it it is pulled full stroke it hits the top with a bang like the inner stopper is bad. Both struts do this now and I have search all the fourms and am yet to find anyone that has had this problem. Any replies would be great.....

hey i have an 01 with 3200 hard miles ihave same problem however i doubled up on the rubber washers on top and it helped out my top mounts have alot of wear in them and the struts actually move up and down i really notice it when going of really rough terrain constant bang bang bang check out a new strut it has a dead spot at full extension and it hits hard so i did not replace them

Will I have 3500 miles on some pretty rough trails and after checking again today think it must be the upper bushings....
