When I bought my Ford, I looked at Chevy also but just could not do it. In my opinion and mine only the Ford was nicer. I tried to compare all option and I went with the STX vs the Z71. I like the ford better and got a way better deal...

But I like them all

I have always owned Fords. I have had 7 ford trucks in the past 2 years all of them have been great and ford's 4x4s are build so much better then all the rest.

SEVEN Ford trucks in 2 years? what's up with that?

i gauge a well-built truck by logevity..........and Chevy/GMC has the longest lasting truck according to everything i see and read.

I thought I read a tow report with Dodge, Checy and ford diesels pulling a 7500lb load and ford always won. Chevy and Dodge were very close. For what its worth!
That was a test done by Fourwheeler magazine on the 2003 models. The Ford has maintained it's power level since but both the DMax and Cummins have surpassed it. What helped the ford was the higher revving capabilities.
what about the 7.3 L power stroke in the older model fords... seriously that will kill the Cummins why its all in the tranny..
Thats a silly joke right? A 7.3 Navistar engine can't even come close to the Cummins. The cummins, both the 12v and 24v can make over 800HP, more like 1000HP with custom parts. The 7.3's are limited at about half that power.... Oh, and like the E40D tranny is any better than a 47RE Dodge auto. Both are 4spds and both are known for not being all that strong, in stock form of course.

What about it?????? The 7.3 powerstroke has 30% more moving and unreliable parts.. It has less power and torque than the cummins...
Correct, except that it is a VERY reliable engine.

the coolest thing about the 7.3 (i owned one) was that it was designed in conjucntcion with Ford, International, and CAT, so the 7.3 international was the closest thing ever to putting a CAT diesel in a pickup truck. that was an awesome engine, i remember once my dad and i dragged a brand new 04 dodge with a cummins H.O. and we almost beat it and he was off hte line before us, that was the cummins 600 though, not the cummins 610

i donno if you dodge guys have ever heard of KORE suspention, but they make the best aftermarket suspention of ANYONE, but, its only for the dodge, and its highly expensive, the RACE package which rases the truck 3" to allow for 37 inch tires uses Fox Shox all around, and everything, Baha 1000 tested, Gale Banks approved. its the only suspention on the market that is tough enough and strong enough to allow you to jump your truck (seriously)
Cat had no part in building the 7.3 International engine. That engine is completely IH. I've heard of Kore and they are great, very good systems. Who cares what banks thinks, he's full of crap anyway.

Ok crazygutz, I'll make you happy and include dodge. Chevy rocks, ford and dodge suck. And how are you going to brag about dodge when you have very few to back you up unlike chevy guys dominate this website and i'm not making that up- go to the poles and type in chevy or whatever and look at the pole results-they speak for themselves.
The funniest thing about that statement is that I haven't hardly seen anyone that really knows a whole lot about later model HD pickups. Anyone that has done serious research and is into these trucks know's the GM vehicles is NOT the best period. A lot of people drive GM's because there are so many of them out there and the company is so large. Just because a bunch of people on a website think GM is the "is all" truck just because they drive one doesn't mean anything, except that they just like to BS without any really good reasoning.

Keep this in mind that I almost always refer to HD diesel pickups, I don't give a crap about Hemis, Vortecs, or Triton badges. Ask a guy why he drives a Dodge Cummins....ask a guy why he drives a Ford...ask a GM owner why he drives a Dmax and he will say because they are best....because they are GM.....and they're the best..... [insert patting GM owners head and mentioning how cute they are]
