I thought the Durango's had a ball joint issue. My brother-in-law had ball joints replaced twice in 100000 miles, lower intake gasket leak (5.9L) that caused it to use three quarts of oil in 3000 miles, both front hub bearings noisy, overdrive failure, transfercase leak and front pinion bearing failure. Other than that it ran and towed great. He traded for a Ford Expedition with a 5.4L. So far no problems.

what about the 7.3 L power stroke in the older model fords...
What about it?????? The 7.3 powerstroke has 30% more moving and unreliable parts.. It has less power and torque than the cummins...
But I must say, it was alot better engine than the new 6.0 powerstroke.. Witch seems to have twice as many problems than the 7.3....
the coolest thing about the 7.3 (i owned one) was that it was designed in conjucntcion with Ford, International, and CAT, so the 7.3 international was the closest thing ever to putting a CAT diesel in a pickup truck. that was an awesome engine, i remember once my dad and i dragged a brand new 04 dodge with a cummins H.O. and we almost beat it and he was off hte line before us, that was the cummins 600 though, not the cummins 610

i donno if you dodge guys have ever heard of KORE suspention, but they make the best aftermarket suspention of ANYONE, but, its only for the dodge, and its highly expensive, the RACE package which rases the truck 3" to allow for 37 inch tires uses Fox Shox all around, and everything, Baha 1000 tested, Gale Banks approved. its the only suspention on the market that is tough enough and strong enough to allow you to jump your truck (seriously)

I personally like chevy because of the looks. Ford looks like an old mans truck. Nothing sporty about it at all. Like a spaceship.... As for reliability i like them all. Dodge is doing better. I almost got a regular cab ram but decided i needed more room and 4x4 so i got a 2004 blazer(not the new trailblazer). It has been a great vehicle so far and i think it looks way better than the soccer mom explorers and durangos.

Hemi gets

13MPG city
17mpg hwy

with fuel prices STILL on the rise, i sure-as-hell wouldn't be buying a Hemi! i ask OWNERS and they say they are getting only 9-11MPG!!

sorry Ram owners...........

GM is working on cylinders on demand on their 2006 trucks. now that should be interresting to see the fuel economy there.

if i was going to be in a wreck- ford
if i need to tow something-dodge
if i wanted to say i like plastic-chevy

why is it that if you own a chevy you have to brag about the damn thing??? i own a dodge, can i brag all day about how great of a truck it is. one thing is for sure, they all have good and bad points.

Ok crazygutz, I'll make you happy and include dodge. Chevy rocks, ford and dodge suck. And how are you going to brag about dodge when you have very few to back you up unlike chevy guys dominate this website and i'm not making that up- go to the poles and type in chevy or whatever and look at the pole results-they speak for themselves.

Ya i dont get why dodge had to put a V8 in a supposevely mid-size truck meaning the dakota. And Ford Ranger engines are tiny. Thats how much more and harder other manufacturers have to work to keep up with chevy. Chevy can put a V6 4.3L H.O. in a truck like an S-10 Zr2 and no mid-size truck can touch it in the mud or highway. My dad owns a body shop and i work there almost every day and ill tell you that Fords and Dodges are a bitch to work on compared to Chevy's. Dodges stuff all there s*** under the wheel wells and put bolts in almost impossible places to reach. Ford bolts are just tinny at least they were before there new trucks came out. Ford is the toughest truck and Dodge probably can tow more then others but i wil stick up for chevy any day.

Well let me tell yall boys sumtin about ford, chevy, and dodge I have owned both ford and chevy never owned a dodge b4 but my uncle thats about all he drives. Anyways if you wanna drive a chevy they are a great highway truck there fast and get good gas milage and have a smooth ride. Now dodge if you like to drive a truck that has stock 20s on it then well there you go but they dont have very good transmissions. The fords may to some people look like a old mans truck but i have pulled to many chevy and dodges out of mud holes and up snowy hills to trash talk about one. They dont have the smooth ride like a chevy, but if you ever get dared to try and climb a telephone pole in a ford truck dont b scared cause that ford will sure as hell make it.
