Ford, Chevy, or Dodge

I believe chevy has a higher resale value. Does that mean anything? I dont know. I like checy but only because I have worked at a GM dealer for the last 30 years and that is what I know. I do my own maintainance and I dant have to think about what needs to be done on GM products. I thought I read a tow report with Dodge, Checy and ford diesels pulling a 7500lb load and ford always won. Chevy and Dodge were very close. For what its worth!

that show is retarded, if theres one thing i'll give to chevy, is how inovative they are with their trucks, they've got more options than ford and dodge together, which sometimes can be confuseing if you dont know what your doing, but i think thats pretty cool

I love Chevys. They are always good for some cooling system work, or some front end work, and it looks like we'll be changing those A/C compressors by the trainload on the 5.3L. Oh, I'm a mechanic in Phoenix AZ.
All right, all right. I dont mean to bash Chevy/GM, but they do seam to be the 'McDonalds' of truck builders- get the public what they want as cheaply as possible.
I'm trying to think what we see most on Fords and Dodges, the Fords seam to have alot of alignment problems (pulls to the right) and its hard to keep a set of front tires on them with that IFS. We just dont see to many Dodges (maybe thats saying something) except for pulls on braking.

But I must say, it was alot better engine than the new 6.0 powerstroke.. Witch seems to have twice as many problems than the 7.3....

ford has the best suv in the explorer and expedition. as far as trucks the 05 and 06 models i would say ford, dodge and chevy. 04 and below chevy, dodge, and ford. chevy messed up when they changed there body stlye. its the most ugly of them all now and the most expensive.

I have good opinions of both Ford and Dodge. I own a 00 Dakota that (knock on wood) has been excellent. Aside from having to replace the brakes 4 times in 70000 miles anyway (but this is a known issue with these trucks and the Durangos).
My dad always owned Ford and never had an issues with them. Then he bought a 97 Ram 1500, and it was a POS. Several problems that had it back at the dealer within months of owning it. And then they replaced the transmission at 20K miles. He had to replace it again at 90K miles.
