Ford owns cummins, and buys the powerstroke? Duramax is Isuzu I think. The Honda Ridgeline is butt ugly.
The 6.0 psd what a rocket. I guess I still am a Ford guy in conversation, but own a Chevrolet now.
If it wears panties, or has an engine it'll give you troubles no doubt

You guys are killing me.... Ford does not own one bit of Cummins INC. There were rumors going around that Ford was going to take the Cummins from Dodge and use it in their trucks because they owned the company. It was all bull crap. Just like there will never be a CAT engine in a light duty pickup ( or at least not within the next 10 years or so). Every year I hear some stupid rumor that either Ford or GM is planning on using CAT in the up coming year...I've heard that crap for 5 years now.

The only POSSIBLE change that could take place is Mercedes diesels findinf their way under the hood of the Rams since Daimler owns Mercedes. But......THe Cummins badging sells trucks because of it's reputation of brute strength and power. Dodge obviously knows this.

ford does own shares in the cummins factory but beings dodge had a contract with them that is why ford does not use the cummins diesel. and well with me it used to be a no brainer ford all the way then i started experimenting around and well i came to the conclusion i have had awesome luck with ford so that is what i drive and christine has been a good sexy truck to me. the people i know that own the NEW dodge trucks with the new style have had alot of problems with them. just being honest here. the chevy's have always had the best ride on the road but you take them off the road and they will break. i know alot of you chevy guys will get mad about this but it is true. my favorite joke is that yeah 95 percent of all chevy trucks that were ever made are still on the road. 5 percent of them made it home. i used to own and drive chevy but went to the evil side and well i do believe that ford does make the toughest truck followed closely by the titan.

Ford all the way. You just cant go wrong when towing with thier new v-10, 362hp and 457 tourque at only 3250rpm's, thats about 75 more tourque at 1200 fewer rpm's and 17 more hp. I've never owned a deisel and never will for cerain reasons. They cost about 5 grand more, noisy, smelly, not every gas station has deisel let alone deisel is 30 cents more expensive than gas. If thier was no ford it be chevy, because thier gas engine is very similar in thier hp and tq specs.

What are you comparing the ford v-10 to???? A Dodge v-8 gas engine?
The cummins diesel makes 610 ft lb of torque at 1600 rpm's............... Ha.........

RFJ.....you said "Thats a silly joke right? A 7.3 Navistar engine can't even come close to the Cummins. The cummins, both the 12v and 24v can make over 800HP, more like 1000HP with custom parts. The 7.3's are limited at about half that power.... Oh, and like the E40D tranny is any better than a 47RE Dodge auto. Both are 4spds and both are known for not being all that strong, in stock form of course.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???????????????????? I work on these all day long....1000 HP out of a 5.9L Cummins LMAO And for your info if you are judging a Diesel on HP, your in the wrong field!!!!!!! A 12.7L Series 60 makes 650HP FULLY TURNED UP! But it's Torque is somewhere around 1900 Ft-Lbs of torque And TORQUE is what a real diesel is built for!!!!!!!! {and yes the old mechanical 7.3 sucked!}

On the topic at hand.........All the pickups have strong points and weak points!!!!

I've grown up around Fords so I bleed blue big time. My dads 77 F250 4x4 has over 180,000 miles and still has the original clutch and it has hauled big tractors all of its life and snow plowed a lot. THATS BUILT FOR TOUGH BABY!!! Its rusty as hell but still works like new. I drive it almost every day still. Here's a funny story. When an engine leaks oil it can be good or bad. It sucks cause its leakin, but when it leaks, it coats everything with oil to prevent rust. Well since the 351M in my 77 didn 't leak a drop of oil, the oil pan wasn't protected by oil on the outside so it actually rusted out. Only oil leak it has ever had! Thank god for JB weld!!
