im not sure what years the 500 sportsmans are,,,,my other freind with the 700 sportsman is the 2004

the 500 sportsmans,are both HO's,but i do know there is about 2 years differance between them,,,,im sorry,,i was getting the two posts confused

and there is a considerable amount of differance in top end,,,im going to see them both tomorrow,and i'll ask what years they are,,,we were riding together today,and we couldnt figure it out,,,,,the older one of the two 500's is the faster one if that helps

 

Back to the topic; yes that is a good deal, No I would not buy it. "It dropped off 'something' " what a cliff? Stay away from it. I just towed a 04 600 home a few weeks ago that had caaught fire at the head.

 

there is a recal on that fire issue.

 

Definetly a good deal. the 600 twin is a great workhourse. Not as fast as the 700 or 800 but do you need it and about double the price for the 700 or 800 new. I would go with the 700 over the 800 though, seems like less issues with the 700.
