Top Speed of sp700 efi???
#1
What is everyone getting for a top speed from their sp700/800 efi's??? I got a chance to crack it open on pavement finally last weekend! My previous GPS varified top speed was 67.3-on gravel. This time I forgot to reset the top speed on my GPS, so I had to quickly glance down at the 1/4 inch numbers while watching the road with one eye, and seeing the narrow bridge and patch of gravel coming up fast!!! It read 71.2 mph just as it accelerated downhill towards the bridge, in about a 3/4 mile stretch! I think it might have had a little more, but not without going down hill. Didn't have a chance to look at the tach to see what it read, curious what the potential top speed/red line rpm is! This was on a hot 90 degree day at about 1400 feet above sea level.

Anyone try topping out a 700 with the 800 pipe on it. I would think the 700 would suffer some at high RPM with the 2 in to 1 pipe that is coming right off the head.
Not that it would make a huge difference, but anything helps!

I had mine up to 68 on a slightly downhill, but at 6500 feet elevation...measured on my Garmin GPS....that was when I had on the stock tires, its slower now with the 27" Mudlites or 27" 589's that I swap between...

Hey 67 bullet, mine has the 800 header pipe on it along with the sp800 intake snorkle, and a k&n airfilter. I also have a Dalton clutch kit from RCR, with Dalton claims will add 2-3 mph on top end.
