2c3, your the one that controls your financial means. Why get upset with a fellow american who has the abilty to make more money then you? Find another occupation, a second job, work overtime or whatever you can, to enjoy life. Sounds like you have fallen into the fallacy that you can get everything you want on credit and still enjoy life. Live within YOUR means and quit complaining.

Man 2c3,that is so TRUE!!!!He is just like the pig CEOs of the companies that are making RECORD profits & bonuses because they came up with the idea of taking their product & that everybody needs & raise the price!!! Wow,took a genius to come up with that!!! I wish I would be alive for the day we didn't need oil anymore & the arabs were trying to make $$$ selling us sand!!!!!!I work my @$$$ off & I don't want hear about get another job or work harder for the same living I was able to provide 5 years ago!!!What, just so CEOs can get richer???There is a serious imbalance in this country & it's called CEO!!Why is it when they commit crimes they get a slap on the wrist & if the ordinary did anything it's seeYA!!??Why is it this is the only country that the CEOs make an average of 400 times the wage of it's workers??Most places the CEOs bring in around 20-40 times, not here,it's never enough for these people. This kind of greed is repulsive!!!
I also don't care about the price of fuel in "other" countries,no country has shed as much blood, created more tech,or built & developed more oil refineries & drilling for Arab nations as we have.

oil prices are artificially inflated by opec they slow production every time the price drops so it goes back up and the arab goverments can stay rich and build beautiful castles. GWB has nothing to do with gas prices. it's all the arab country's that we get our oil from. GWB wants to open up the anwr in alaska to oil drilling to increase domestic oil production and bring the gas prices down but the democratics are making it as hard as they possably can to not let him do it. so for now we are at the mercy of opec they set the oil prices and we don't have a choice but to pay it since that's where the majorty of our oil comes from.

I have to coment at this point Ive been trying to resist but can't. I would encourage you to do some research on Were our oil comes from in the US and what we do with what is locally drilled.
1. 70-80%(monthly basis) of our oil doesn;t even come from the middle east it hasn't in years it comes from Venezuala were the leader is more questionable then Saddam in alot of ways.
2. GWB correct has little to do with gas prices as they stem off the economy but take alittle stab I wonder how they were 0.99cents agallon what 6-7 years ago.
3. Opening up Alaska will not do anything for our gas prices, Oil that is produced within the US is stored for the Surplus incase Venezuela gets ticked at us or things really get bad in the middle east. AKA most of us will never use it.

Wow,sorry bout your luck but I don't get your point, here in SE Mich we've had quite wet summers, not to mention some very snow filled winters also.Nature cycles, but that never gets considered & on top of everything else,I am by no means sayin that we shouldn't be concerned about the ecology,I am however saying that we should be coming up with alternative fuels all the while bein realistic about our supply of oil.But some people are just out to stop the destruction of anty land for any reason & I don't feel that is realistic. There are always sacrafices in life, deal with it,if you don't like it,come up with an alternative.

Comic relief time!
I got pulled over the other day for DUI. The officer looked inside the car and saw the gas guage was on full. He let me go because he figured I could afford a really good attorney.
Thanks, I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip the waitress.

"The United States averaged total net oil (crude and products) imports of an estimated 11.8 million bbl/d during January-October 2004, representing around 58% of total U.S. oil demand. Crude oil imports from Persian Gulf sources averaged 2.4 million bbl/d during that period. Overall, the top suppliers of crude oil to the United States during January-October 2004 were Canada (1.6 million bbl/d), Mexico (1.6 million bbl/d), Saudi Arabia (1.5 million bbl/d), Venezuela (1.3 million bbl/d), and Nigeria (1.1 million bbl/d). "

Higher gas prices means everything we own , short of the cash we may have in our piggy banks is now worth less than it was before...........and it's a shame but as you can see it also can bring out the ugly side of people !
