Gas prices are so high ----->

I don't think anyone likes to give away their money. I know I don't. But there are certain things I like to do, and some things I have to do. But I'll do it in the USA and not some other country. Having to pay the government sucks, having to pay someone who took risks to make a company succesful sucks, having to pay more for stuff now than I did before sucks. If it's that bad, the borders do swing out. Check out the rest of world and see if it's so bad here afterall.

Great points. Gas is far more expensive in Europe where regulation and taxation is extreme.
But (no pun intended), you have got to change that avatar It throws me off everytime I read your posts

You think YOU'RE paying too much for gas ????......... Check out the price of fuel in Canada !!
It's a really hot topic over here lately. Most Canadians are about to lose it !! Enough is enough !!!
What is really pissing everybody off is that we DO have the resourses but we DON'T have a government with enough b@lls to step up to the plate.

THERE TAKING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY FROM YOU. doesnt that **** you off. im not asking for your pitty are no one elses. i think all hard working americans no matter how much money they make should be upset about these gas prices. just because you make enough money to afford it dosent give them the right to raise the gas prices. come on think about its your money. you might not mind giving it to them. i do.

Are you kidding me??? Who in hell said they "supported" higher gas prices? Man, I get 13.4 MPG on average. I was simply stating fact. No one wants to spend more money than needed on gas. I just have a problem with people wanting pitty.
I do have the same attitude as mywife'squad. I will just make more money. That is the cool thing about this country.
The funny thing is, this is no surprise at all. ALL of the indicators have shown that gas prices were going to rise for 15 years. I would absolutely expect $3.00 a gallon fairly soon. It will likely stay that way, so people should prepare. I am considering an econobox because I drive as much as 25k miles a year. Do the math...

2C3, Why do you consistently come over to the polaris forum and slam people.
You ride suzuki, so hang with suzuki.
You are a moronic whinner who argue's and makes idiotic statements like KEEP SUPPORTING GAS PRICES AND YOU'LL GET WHAT YOU DESERVE.What does that even mean?
Slam people for making more money than you,I will never apologize to the likes of people like you for my success's
If you're unhappy with what you've done with your life then it SUCKS TO BE YOU.
Every one is unhappy with gas prices, but bitching the way you do here accomplishes nothing,If you want to complain and insult someone do it to your congressman.

aachten, good posts.
I would like to debate one point. I do believe that domestic exploration and drilling will in fact contribute to somewhat lower prices. Yes, we do keep our reserves up, rightly so. The companies that drill domestically sell to the US government and private companies for refining. If more is available, prices go down. As scummy as they are, OPEC has done a good job of keeping prices reasonable for a long time. But, what happens when there sources start to run dry?
The more I have thought about it, the more I beleive that a good domestic source not only improves our ecomony, but, it increases national security. Hopefully, this will bring to the forefront the need for alternative energy sources. When proper precautions are taken, nuclear energy is the cleanest source of energy currently available in mass scale. However, there hasn't been a new plant built in the US in a long time because of the envirowhackos.

...Gasoline simply is NOT expensive in the USA....not at all
...Is it more than you are used to paying ???...sure it is....but it is NOT expensive on a per capita income at all compared to anywhere else. That is a simple fact.

i think what we as americans better wake up ang get worried about is the fact that we import damn near everything we need to survive and eat these days. a very small amount of produce we consume is actually grown here. if we had to depend on producing everything we need we'd really have something to cry about. but as is the trend in america today everybody wants to blame everybody else, nobody ever admits they f@#ked up, nobody wants to fix anything just lay blame. you can't pull americans together for anything. we probably haven't been this divided as a country since the civil war.
