I only put in 2 qts of oil, the 05 manual is wrong. It said 2 1/2 qts, and if you do this it will come out of the crank case vent. I would only use 2 qts and was fine.

 

The Manual isnt wrong its just that when you change your oil, not all the oil comes out of the engine.

 

I have the cfm oil tank , supose to be 3 quarts . any for now it seems fine i put 2 1/2 quarts in and so far so good. could the oil tank be the problem too. Isn't the oil tanks supose to have baffles in them to stop oil from being pushed up the hose. i don't think the cfm oil tank has this.

 

I use MOTOREX PLUS OIL for better result,my Tld need cold blood.

 

I use Mobil-1 suprisingly enough...I am suprised that no one else uses it. Shifts better than it did when it was new. Plain old Synthetic 0W-40....works great.

The oil itself isn't expanding

The level will come up after the quad is at operating temp

The oil resv will not hold the entire amount of oil needed...add what you can then spin the motor over with the switch off
