Default WHAT OIL DO YOU USE IN YOUR PREDATOR???

I've been using the polaris ps-4 oil since it was new,and i have to admit it really kept my engine clean. when i had the whole engine apart it was very hard to beleive how new every part looked, and i beat the snot out of it.The one thing i cant take/stand about the oil is it expands alot!! it is a pain in the *** to fill right and the more oil your tank holds it seems to expand more. I just can't get it right ,the oil is always spitting out of the vent tube. I only fill my CMF oil tank to the half way mark at new oil changes because anymore would be a mess. But even just filling half way causes a mess when it really gets hot.I"M TIERED OF THIS.

What is the best oil to use in my predator----it's modded big time---what are you all using?

Any good synthetic motor oil will work fine.

I always use the PS-4 in mine....One time, I did not, however....and it made the shifting notchy. I went back to PS-4 after that, and have had no more problems.

I use Ps 4 but may switch to Amsoil synthetic 0w40. Not because Im disatisfied but because of cost. Amsoil is cheaper and is a good oil. Not any synthetic will work. Must be oil for a wetclutch at 0w40.

i use amsoil 10-40 in the winter and 20-50 in the summer. i live in vegas so it does not get to cold. matt smiley uses klots 10-40. these motors run hot so i dont use the 0-40.

I forgot about the wet clutch. A really good synthetic can make the clutch slip after a while.

I use Castrol 20-50 in engines with a wet clutch.

The Amsoil 0W40 and 10W40 are both rated JASO MA for wet clutch use. so you should be fine with either one. I ise them in my dirt bikes with good results. Another good oil in Mobil 1 MX4T 10W40 motorcycle oil.
