Default is there a gas tank overflow?

I have a 2004.5 Sp 500, and today I was pouring gas into it, I filled it up all the way and then started to back out of my garage and noticed that there was some gas dripping down straight onto the front gearcase. I was thinking that maybe there is an overflow on the tank or something. Any ideas?

Thanks

Ty

I just removed the gas tank on my Scrambler 500 yesterday and Yes, it does have an overflow tube. A small 1/8 inch clear piece of tubing that runs to the front of the tank and down in front near the fan.

I wonder if a TB 250 and a SP 90 has one. I've had that same thing happen to me on both machines.

it should run into the top of and down the steering stem

if not, it will leak
