My gear ratio is 11:38 teeth. Do i need to go bigger and by how much?
Just don't know how much more i can do besides the addition of boring, wiseco piston, maybe head milling it .01 bigger, and bigger sprockets. Ya you'd almost wonder if there was air in my tires, quit frankly there was quit a bit. I think maybe my clutching is holding me back a little also.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

GEt the clutch kit that matches the pipe. But a 500 will still beat you on topend but you should smoke it up to top.

I know you guys were joking about air in tires, but your traction is just as important as your power. What kind of tires do you have? Try racing on regular dirt instead of sand you may have better luck there. I have no experiance working on Polaris, but can the 350-400 reeds be made to fit yours? If so v-force has reeds for those and the v-force reeds are supposed to be awesome. They have a really unique design, especially the v3. I was gonna get them for my lt but I'm gonna sell that anyway so I don't want to put anymore money into it.

You can turn your trail boss into something that can smoke a 500 but when you do you will have an expensive unreliable machine that is going to cost you a lot of money every time you ride it.
If you have money to throw away go for it. Or even better just buy a 500.

you can put a 35mm pwk carb on it, and clutch kit. i looked around but couldn't find a aftermarket reed cage or better reeds for the stock reed cage for a 250.

Polaris 250's don't use reeds. If your porting was not done by someone who knows Polaris it may not be done right. Port timing on a piston port motor controls everything. And like stated before clutch to the pipe.

I have a reedcage conversion in my 95 tb an it is reliable. The part that keeps me from trail riding it is that it has to use race gas. There are alot more thing that can be done to it you just haven't looked it the right places.
