They started the fuel gauges on the 04.5 models.

 

but it does have reserve.........

 

That's true. They should have reserve with the gauge to. I dont care. I love this thing. It is awsome.

 

Hey Sportsman700003 How did you put a fuel gauge on a 2003 700. Also how did you wire the backup light?

 

My fuel gauge is made on my gas cap and goes down in the tank. I got it from Ebay. On the 03's polaris had a purple wire under the hood on the left side and it grounded the wire when you pulled it in reverse. Hook your hot wire to 12v and then just run your ground wire to the puple wire and your light comes on when you pull it in reverse. I'm not for sure if the 04's have the purple wire or not.
