Bought me a predator.
#1
Well today i purchased an 03 predator. It def. needs some tlc, but runs mighty strong. Starting with the gas tank, it has a crack around the threads to the lid, so i can only fill 3/4 up. The rear plastics have been cut and the fronts have been repaired. So anyone with a gas tank oem or aftermarket im interested. Also it has a big-gun pipe, how well do these hold up, and is it a decent pipe?
I paid 2,300 what do ya think??
Doesnt oem black plastic go for $199 ish? And say i get the IMS tank, will it bolt right up, and will the stock plastics fit around it too?
I greatly appreciate any input!

Congrats on the quad, good deal. As for the gas tank, i am pretty sure that you have to modify something, i dont really remember. Like heatseaker8 said check out predatorowners.com they will give you all the answers

I read in dirt wheels that the IMS Fuel tank will mount up without any modifications to the stock plactis. As for new black plastics they are cheaper to buy the front and rear together, I forget what I paid but it was between 200 and 250 $. As for the pipe, I wouldnt know. I had one on my warrior a few years back and didnt have any problems with it.

The Predator is a really nice machine. My brother has an '04 TLD with a Pure Polaris slip-on and it hauls.
Id swap out the stock gas tank for an IMS. If you are doing any kind of trail riding on duning you will want the added range that the IMS offers.
