Default Hard Shifter on SP500

My '05 SP500HO shifting level is very hard to change gears. Is that normal? I mean I can get it into any gear I want but sometimes I have to really yank on it to do it.

It didnt really bother me until I looked at some Arctic Cat's last week and I could move the shifting lever through the gears with no effort.

IF this is normal does anyone know what I can do to make it shift easier?

Thanks

Hard to tell without feeling it. I would say that yes, both my Sportsman's are hard to shift, but not bothersomely so.

Next time you're at the dealer have a walk around and check some on the lot, or try a friend's. My 05 is harder to shift than my 04, but that just may be from the 04's being more worn in.

If it shifts harder with the engine running than it does without then there is a problem that should be corrected, usually it's a clutch alignment issue. My 800 was very hard to shift due to the alignment being off....

same here . Eng alignment off, felt like the shifter would break rather than shift. It's been ok after another trip to the dealer.
