ETA of new Rath Head Pipe?

Default ETA of new Rath Head Pipe?

Hey guys,

Was wonderring:: when will Rath's new Predator Head pipe be out? i REALLY want one of those. Since i have the wide ratio gear box, i think the low end would help me in the 1st -2nd transition, where it seems a little tall. does that sound right to you guys? also::: since the LE came with the Pure Polaris Pipe, and i'm running with the core out, (see other post), if i add the head pipe and a K&N, i should probably definetely jet, which one should i use? thanks [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]!

as soon as i get some money im buying this, a K&N, K&N airbox lid, Nerf bars, 4 more disks for my pipe and a dyno jet kit

You remove the queit core yet ??? i think you replied to my other post... HUGE power gains tho! any coment on what jet to use?

i dont plan on removing the quietcore as it adds top end and takes torque away. if they offer a race core for this pipe i'll invest in that also

Im not gonna take out the quiet core either. I love the way my TLD runs right now so im gonna leav it.

Default ETA of new Rath Head Pipe?

A bit of an older thread, but I just got my 05 LE Pred so I'm doing some searching. Is the quiet core the spark arrester thing? Because I took that out and left the disks and coverplate on. I also have a turn down cover from my cousin's White Bro's pipe on his 500 Scrambler that I could put on. Basically, I'm just trying to find the best combination for me with minimal money/effort. Suggestions?

yes that is the quiet core, but i found out some time after this thread was posted that my machin had actually lost compression and that is why the over-rev gains were so profound. After the newtop end, i suggest leaving the core in, as it is not worth sacrificing the torque for the little bit of extra over-rev especially not if you ride on public land ever. b/c it gets really loud. anyway, i suggest a rath header to go w/your muffler, you'll need to rejet, but you'll be amazed at how much more linear your machine's powerband is. you'll have much more torque and come out of corners much quicker. It's a great buy!

ive found the cheapest way for the best power is to buy a round K&N filter for a sportsman, remove your airbox entirely and clamp that filter directly onto your carburator throat. re-jet it to a 170 to 175 main jet, take all the disks out keep your quiet core in (keeps the sound down and some back pressure) and put the high-flow turn down tip on. it will REALLY wake your predator up
