Default Got my 04.5 500HO back, quick question?

When my dealer's mechanic replaced my hillard, he tested my quad without the radiator hooked up to see if the hillard was working properly. When he did this, It started flashing "HOT." He stopped it right away and hooked up the radiator and added fluid. He keeps asking me how my quad runs. It seems to have full power. I just got it back so I haven't had a chance to really test it out. This information was told to me by one of the other mechanics in the shop. My question is, do you think my engine was damaged?

Your mechanic tested your quad without any coolant running through the engine? Sounds like a bad deal to me, depending on the length of time. It would probably be ok for a little bit......or if it was somehow being "helped" air cooled........

I probably didn't hurt it. I doubt if he rode it long enough to do any damage. But a quick question. What was wrong that they had to replace the hillard? Seems there are a lot of concerns around this.

During my 100hr service, the dealer put the wrong hub fluid in and fried my hillard. He put in the 2004 90 weight not the 2004.5 on demand fluid. The hubs changed to a central hillard on the 2004.5's. I ran it pretty hard today and all seems well. I just think after the mechanic put the wrong front diff fluid in, you would thing he would be a little more carefull not to screw something else up. Thanks for all your input.
