just think of a 30" tire, thats bigger than all car tires...and alot of smaller trucks...lol...we'll need 1500cc quads to be able to push them and the suspension will be so beefed up that the machine will weigh 1500 pounds also....kinda like a small car....I like it...lol

They'll replace themselves with something like a cross between a ranger and a jeep.

SuperSwamper came out with a Swamp Lite late last summer, with a 29.5 model available this fall. The only size available is 10x12. My guess is the manufacturers have done some homework and found handling and/or clearance issues on a tire wider than that (and as tall) for a four-wheeler. In addition, that tire is going to have a very limited market, so to lots of size choices avaiable right away probably wouldn't pay. Then there's the weight issue.
I ran 28” Mud Lites on my 700 EFI for about 350 miles last summer (10s on the front and 12s on the rear). We like to throw our utes around on the trail like sport quads and this is definitely not a sport tire. The combination of increased height and more sidewall flex took a lot of getting used to and slowing down in tight fast corners. The other problem with Mud Lites is they wear out real fast if ridden hard in rocky or semi-rocky terrain. They’re a great tire, just the wrong tool for the job when it comes to riding what and where we do. I put ‘em on my 700 4x4 Ranger and they work just fine in the sandy soil around home.
If the manufacturers expect these tires to handle reasonable well at any kind of speed in anything other than mud they’re going to have to start offering bigger wheels to go with the bigger tires. 30x12 is just too much rubber between the wheel and the road unless you’re just playing in mud, IMO.
