The Polaris engine needs a full synthetic but it don't have to be 0-40.

I reccomend Castrol Syntec 5w50.

Doesnt it have to be a special type of 0w-40 since the predator has a wet clutch?

ESSO make a full synthetic 0W-40. I also use Syntec 5W-50 which I get from WalMart. Not much cheaper than from the dealer but closer

Yes, most companies will make a 0-W40, but it has to be formulated for wet clutch applications. You will typically find that in motorcycle or ATV specific oils. Amsoil is the one that I hear allot about and is specifically designed for wet clutches.

You are very WRONG if you assume the Polaris oil is better.
