2001 xpedition 425 broken axle
i was riding yeasterday and i stoped and started going again and when i shifted into second gear the left rear wheel fell off due to a brken axle. i was wondering if this happened to any1 and ifso what did they do about it.

I used to average about one axle a month. If you want to solve the problem put the axle out of an 02 or newer magnum. This is not a cheap swap but you will not break that axle. I tried and tried but never broke one. Even bought a spare when I did the swap. Still have it sitting on a shelf.

Yes I will sell the axle. If I remember right it cost around $600 for evevrything. Gotta buy an axle, axle tube, brake caliper, rotor, wheel hubs, bearing and new wheels. Not exactly cheap if you do not plan on keeping the bike for awhile. If you are still interested I would sell the axle for $50.
