i did a search but couldnt come up with the exact amount of grease zerks for a 1999 SPORTSMAN 500 4X4
does anyone know?
i looked in my manual also, but it doesnt say the exact amount. thanks all

Hey, I`m new to this so I hope this comes through to you. I have no idea if Polaris has a standard number of zerks on their quads or if they all are different, but I just greased my 2001 Magnum 4x4 tonight and it had a total of 12.

 

Follow-up I was unsure of how many zerks were on my 2001 Magnum as well. I pulled the front of the quad up on a set of car ramps and with a 500 watt halogen light looked very closely at all twisting and/or moving parts on the frame and suspension and it made it a lot earier to see all the zerk fittings. Then backed the rear up on ramps and did the same thing. I found a total of 12 then noted one another page in the forum that my quad does have only 12 so it worked for me to find all the zerks. Give it a try. Hope this helps.

 

thanks for the post but a 99 sportsman has over 20 of them. hoping someone knew the exact amount

 

My 99SP335 has 32 grease fittings, but it has 8 U joints but I think the 500 has less U joints so I think it has 26

 

I think highwayman is close. I had around 27-28 grease zerks on my old 00 SP335(I can't remember the exact number). My best estimate would be around 27 or 28.

 

Man thats alot of zerks. My little Trailblazer 250 I think only has 5
