I sometimes ride with guys that refuse to wear helmets, at the Wayne National Forest no less.

Maybe previous excursions without a helmet is what mede them so stupid.

That reminds me, I have a nice helmet in the back of my truck that I found next to a dumpster today, it'll make a good loaner.

Im only 15 and i dont think its macho not tp wear a helment the reason why i wear a helment is becuz i was goin down a gravel road and i couldnt make the turn and off the bank i went and hit a big oak tree and i smacked my head of the tree.
Knocked me out cracked the helment yes cracked the helment. Now i feel naked wit out one.

Hillclimbing, I know how you feel, I was in a headon with a Banshee on a dirt Drag strip back in July and it destroyed my DS and broke my foot. Hope you have a quick recovery.

There is one other thing nobody ever thinks about too... The stuff the guy in front of you throws back! It hardly ever happened until I rode with a dirtbike in front of me.

We just turned onto a gravel road and he hit the throttle. Rock shower! Ouch! Thank god for the helmet and goggles. Without them I would have chunks of hair missing and only one eye leaft!

Wear it...there are plenty of other bones to break!
