Help: At Friends For Ride and I Forgot The Keys!
I can start my quad by jumping the large orange wire in the ingition switch to the red/black next to it and using the pull start.
Lights don't work though so that means I have no brake lights.
Anyone know how to do this safely so that I have brake lights and don't ruin my battery or anything else?
Anyone have a link to a 2005 SP 400 wiring diagram?
We/they leave in about 1.5 hours for the ride.
TIA

I done something like that before, lost my keys during a 2 week campout.
What I did was to go into the ATV Wiring Diagram and figure out that wires get opened and what wires get closed and made a jumper to accomplish this. My ATV (1998) only had 4 wires total to deal with, two to open up, taped for safety and 2 to short together on the distribution board, only had to create a single jumper.
Once completed, the entire ATV worked as expected other then a key wasn't needed. I stopped the engine via the handle bar Off-Run switch.
