Kjsayers, the HPD adjustable dampner, was so weak you didn't even know it's there whereas the Aaen one can be adjusted much stiffer. I made the pegs. Yes I left the back piece of metal plus rewelded back on the front piece, after I cut it off, next to the rear one so 2 tubes support the pegs, side by side. They're DG spacers out of several adds that sell them throught Dirt Wheels mags. I have a stock steering stem & it's completly uneffected by the spacers. The shifter would be under your right leg if seated & exits from under the pipe. It's bolted to the alumn, keyed lever that slides onto the shaft sticking out of the top of the transmision. My conservative possible estimate from off the shelf aftermarket parts is 70lbs weight reduction & would be there if I added the light weight steering post, a-arms, swing arm & rims which is where I stopped at since this all adds up to big bucks. I never got around to my friend machining me alumn U-shafts & drive shaft for the 4wd which would be a cheap weight reduction/cost ratio. One of these days I'll try it. I'll calculate the stress of steel vs alumn & have to make the alumn that much larger in dia to keep the same stress as we have now plus 10%. I also wondered what a tubular steel frame instead of square tube frame which migh save anothe 10 to 20lbs. There really isn't anything to our frames but this would too big of a project for me right now. My friend has a tube bender & has made gocart frames, roll cages, race car parts & I think even air plane frame parts.

Rmx251, 45lbs??? Wow, thats allot. Does anyone know how much of the 45lbs can be removed easily? My point is, the Scrambler transfer case is bigger where the front wheel drive comes out of compaired to the 2wd Sport version, so there must be some extra weigth in there that cant be removed so by only removing the drive shafts & front wheel drive case I wounder how much that adds up to. Anyone know? If it's easy to remove, I might concider it for the summer MX riding but I would need it for the other 3 seasons since it's too muddy, hilly & snowy where I live & ride. If I added the rest of the expensive lightweight aftermarket parts availible plus removed this 45lbs, if it's possible, I would be about 405lbs. Thats getting to be a managable weight for jumping. Thanks
