yeah, I just wired it to the frame so the pin is always pulled. Like spyder6 said, the 06's don't have the pin at all.

btw spyder6, my 05 500 has 7 grease zirks - one on each strut for the ball joints, one on each front A-arm, one on each rear lower A-arm and one on the front drive shaft near where it comes out of the tranny.

here is the info I just received today from my dealer on the 05 800 melting issues--- Polaris held a service school for their dealers that ended yeterday which addressed the cab melting on the 05. All dealers are replacing the rear cab on warranty as long as it shows any sign of heat compromise and are moving the exhaust slightly inboard (how I am interested to see) on the right side as well as multiple heat taping the area. The move and extra tape should be a warrant service regardless of the existence of damage. They claim there is no design difference in the 05 and 06 cab in that area but that the location of the exhaust has been moved slightly for extra room which is now different information that what a dealer told Spyder as posted on here. The problem with putting an 06 cab on, Ploaris now claims, is more cosmetic as Polaris made some color changes to the model and therefore depending on the color of your 05, ie red for instance, there is no 06 color available in the 05 configuration. Another thing that Polaris told their service personnel is that the plastic cabs are heattreated and the process was faulty on some 05 cabs further contributing to the problem. This is the latest info I have on this. Check with your dealer and see what they now say as a result of this service school and let me know, please. If anyone has had this new repair performed we want to know if it cured the problem or not. Also if anyone has an 06 and can make or has made a side by side comparison with an 05 I would like to hear the result.

I am wondering why they list the 2006 with a width 2 inches wider than the 2005. 2006 48 inches in width, 2005 46 inches in width. There has to be some change?

"plastic cabs are heattreated and the process was faulty "

That is BS!

The only way to make plastic heat treated is to mold thermoset plastic ( Like the ash tray in your car )

This also makes very brittel plastic
