For those that know me ..........I dont have trouble with the local "thieves or punks" most either know who I am from thier folks that I am a "crazy old biker" or from stories.Like when I set my G/F's stuff on fire in front of my house or the time I thumped the guy in front of a bar or when I shot up the neighbors house.
Guess it helps to be crazier than they are.Oh yea I do have a Rot/shepard mix that dont like strangers.

I have a different approach when my alarm goes off on my garage in the middle of the night . I warm a cup of coffee , drink it , read the newpaper a bit , and then go down to see what's going on . I like to give the thief time to collect what he needs and clear out without stumbling (if he gets hurt on my property I owe too) .

I don't like being a victim of crime either , but knocking the tar out of a kid is something you can't insure yourself for , Canada must be different (or at least I hope so for your sake) here in the states you would be in way more trouble than the thief .

Rick

PS ---> I never said I liked it this way , just have accepted that's how it is .

Being a small business owner also, I would have to agree with Rick. I can always use new equipment, thats why I pay insurance. I might help him pack a few things out..........lol.

Im sorry but this story seems a little made up, or as alot of us Canadians like to call it a tale tail.

Canadian law for the most part gives more rights to the thief than the victim in a episode like this.

I was thinking this story was true until the 105lb doberman named Cujo. Either that dogs on roids or eats to much
In appearance, the modern Doberman Pinscher is elatively tall with males standing between 26 and 28 inches at the shoulder and females standing 24 to 26 inches at the shoulder. The weight of an adult dog will typically range between 60 and 85 pounds depending on size and sex.

i can tell you right now if that isnt a 100+ lb doberman.. unless he was so over-fed that he should be takin from him. my parents when i was young bred and raised dobermans, we had 13 of them at one time. 6 full adults and NONE of them where 100lbs.. that isnt healthy.
maybe he's got a rotty or a mutt, but not a damn doberman

well rawzon and bogtosser you obviously have read up on dobermans and the funny thing is , is that you don;t own one and in fact those are just standards set by the national kennel club .I have been around dobermans my whole life and i have seen more dobermans over the so called standard than i have seen in the standard . It is not uncommon for a doberman to reach 90- 110lbs range maybe if you two are so smart you check into this and why would fabricate this story in anyway??? oh and fo course i got proof of my dog and i will be posting pics for disbelievers like yourselfs that are in disbelief. There has been absolutely no fabrication to this occurence . What also is sorta bothersome is how many of you are just willing to be cowards and run the other way and just say that oh i got insurance ... Well you no what there is absolutely no way i was going to run the other way because there is no way that i could look myself in the mirror everyday or look at my wife or kids everyday knowing that i was some coward not willing to stick up for what is mine and for what i have worked so hard for . There was absolutly no way that this guy was going to get away with this , So lets just say that i ranaway like some have you have suggested (chickens) why should my insurance go up .I walked into my garage with absolutey no knowledge of this guy being in there and was confronted with having to defend what is mine . I Don't back down from nothing when it involves my family , my property or my freedom.this happened at 9:00 pm and my family was 75ft away and you don't think i am going to fight like pitbull to protect them . Anyone that says oh it's insured and forget about it are cowards . PROTECT WHAT IS YOURS AND, WHAT WAS YOURS TO START WITH, WILL STILL BE YOURS IN THE END .....

my mom had an 87 pound doberman when I was growing up. One of my buddies has a 135pound rotweiller and I know this has to be outside standards.

I have a 45pound female, boxer staffie mix runt and she would easily take a bullet for me, am I starving my dog becuase she is just small. Dogs can vary in size alot from I've seen.
