if you read my post again, you will see where i said the 700 did indeed beat me,,,,,what i said was i flat out ate him up out of the hole, but the 700 eventually passed me but not before i gave him some dust to chew on
as far as the Vinison,i ran with one of them as well, nice machine, but he didnt out run me,i dont know what the fella on the grizz was doing but,,,,,wait a minute,,,,,,,,maybe it was lzybt who was on the Grizz at the time just sitting on it making "varoom, varoom" sounds

I didn't even ask what the top speed was. More into riding trails I guess. Since I only know one other person with an atv, I usually ride by myself. I'm a little more careful than most. I spent twenty years in Army special forces, and rode all kinds of custom made atv's. Most were very fast. I guess I got tired of hurting myself. Ouch! that will leave a mark.

i dont think there is any bike out there that compares to the ride the Sportsmans give
the fellas around here that own Sportsmans,,,,which is alot, this is Polaris country here,,,,they ALL have axle issues,500's and 700's,,,,my buddies 700 had bad axles 6 moths from bringing it home,,,,and the 500 here all have the same issues,,,my one friend with a 500 had both rear axles replaced, and 1 1/2 months later one started clicking again,,,,its under the extended warranty, but still a hassle to lose your bike while its in the shop every couple months
has anyone else had axle issues with their Sportsman's?

That's strange. This too is polaris country where I live, more than 50% run polaris. I have about a dozen buddies with various models and years, and noby here has had the first problem with there axles. I do know the earlier years of the grizzly had problems with breaking axles though, however, was solved some years back. Don't know about that axle thing dude, but I do know that a couple of the guys here I was speaking of would have found the problem if it was a problem. One in particular has a 1996 500. This thing has been put through the ringer. he has never check any of the fluids, except gas, and has never changed any of the fluids. Outside is pretty beat up from flipping it so many times and so on, but it runs as strong as new. It's a testimony for the fuji engine and polaris quality, and ulitmately the reason I went with polaris myself. I hope to have the same success, but I don't abuse mine like that so it probably wont.

I told my wife lastnight that I would be willing to give of the comfort of my 05 sportsman for the power of the grizz, if I didn't only owe about $1000.00 on mine. It has taken me about 6mths to get this thing paid for, and I don't want to start over just yet. Besides, i can ride his when I want to anyway. He will probably be tired of it in a couple mths, then I will inherit it as my wife is his only child.
