Side lever on a sportsman?
Sorry about the vaugeness, It is a 2000 335 sportsman. And the gearselector, you know
high low reverse deal on the right side. When i bought it I noticed it would stick in low
when i tried to put it in reverse, then when I put the polw on and tried to use
4 wheel drive it would not engage unless i applied forward pressure to the gear lever.
Is their any kind of adjustment on that thing? I adjusted the links to the trans, but ended up
undoing the adjustment I made cause it would not hit rev, or forward. The guy at polaris
said to not try taking it apart, he did and had to have someone else fix it. This year it wont
engage 4 at all, it did grab in reverse once but thats it. The gear sel. lever mechenism
from polaris is 290.00 dollars, is their any used parts online that you know of? Do you think it
might be something else? I changed hub and front diff juice, didnt fix any. Thank you
for your help..
