Default Stalls when put it into reverse?

Went out for a nice ride in ten plus inches of snow up here- SE MI. Got back without any problems having used reverse numerous times. Pull up to garage and cleaned snow out of wheels. Put her into reverse to get at the rest of the snow and it dies. Restart and dies again several times as soon as I pull it back into reverse? Put it in forward and no problem and idling great. So I pushed it back away from garage and went down the drive fifty feet in forward and then put it into reverse and no problem with stalling. Tried it several more times and worked fine. Was this a fluke or is there something to it? I have noticed this once in awhile before when going to reverse and sometimes even coming to an abrupt stop she may die out. Always starts back up and seems fine. Just bought it several months ago 2000 325 Magnum 4X4. By the way this thing goes through some deep snow! Any thoughts?

I have a sportsman that does the same thing. It only does it when it is wet
though. If i press the overide button it doesnt stall. When it is dry I dont have to push the
button, but when it is wet I do. Does yours stall if you
push the overide? Maybe it is a bad connection in the wires... GOOD LUUCK!

I think you may be on to something. The snow was extremely wet and so was the bike by the time I got back to the garage. I never had a chance to push the override before it stalled. I can try it next time by holding in the button while still in neutral before I pull it back into reverse. However, I don't know when it will act up again- probably the next time it is wet? If it is an electrical or moisture type problem are there connections I should take apart and put some dielectric grease into before snapping them back together? Any other electrical areas I should check for possible short or exposed wires which relate specificallly to reverse selection?
