Anyway, I really do hope these things do start shipping out soon, I ordered one also and was told that it will be the first one delivered into Alaska. I was also told that they were only alloted one and it should be in by late Jan. It will be the only one coming into the State for a few months. I really hope they are right cause I REALLY want to ride this thing come spring time.
The deciding factor for me on this quad was the 3-year service contract. I figured with it being pretty much all new (except engine) I didnt want to take any huge cahnces with $7000.
Cant wait, and I am glad I finally found a place where others are interested in OUTLAW updates.

well its a powerfull *** motor, a stock motor with a turbo hooked up to it can smoke the crap out of modded banshees, not to mention i really like the styleing. once it gets reverse, im buying one, its too big and heavy to be moved around without it, i even strugle with my predator, and it would have been lost to the depths of davy jones locker if it wasnt for it many times (damn sand bar). not to mention is sounds baaaaad

another thing that the DS could use is difrent geometry when it comes to there handling in tight spaces.
i have seen lowerd ds's beet yfz on the ice racing. stock for stock that is.
and spyder, have you heard anything about the new sportsman 950 or somthing.

nope, nothing new, the only thing that ive heard about it are very limited, i know theres gonna be something bigger than the 800, polaris has to call that if they want to dominate kawasaki and BRP. the only things ive heard was that it wasnt just going to be a sportsman, it was going to be like, a sportsman sport. the KTM Duke II motor (950cc paralell twin, DOHC 75horses) and that'd have a beefed up more utilitized outlaw rear end.
of course these are all just rumors, but i expect to see all the sportsmans redesigned for 2007 to keep up with the market. who knows, maybe polaris will redesign the 800 twin, bore it out to 799cc's put a new DOHC head on. the motor is already really stout. 53 horses at the crank, if polaris bored it out the extra CC's and put a new head on it and tweaked with the mapping, it could easly be plenty more powerfull than the BRP.
i can see polaris putting a beefed up "Pro IRS" on the sportsmans though, it would take care of the body roll that polaris has been named to, and a new rear suspention would make it lighter aswell. if polaris ditched the square tubed frame in favor for a round tube, alot of weight would also be saved.
