Default a different awd problem

Hi,
I have a 2000 Explorer 400 4x4. Today I was doing a little plowing and noticed a strong pull to the right. After messing around in some lose snow I realized that only the right front was pulling (engaged), the left was doing nothing-no matter how I tried to get it to lock.

Is this big ($$$) trouble?

Thanks for any help,
Maxsdad

I dont think its that big of a problom. Fist, you might not have enough hub fluid in that one side. If you dont have enough hub fluid, then it wont engauge. It could also be that the magnets are getting no power to engauge, so maybe wiring is messed up on one side. I would guess that the one side just doesnt have enough hub fluid. My scrammy somtimes when om plowing, i go i reverse and turn and it just like locks into that turn. Its real hard to turn it back the, "the hard pull", once i get it strait its all good. It does it every so often. All in all, check the hub fluid, reed the manual for that. Good Luck
