I thing so too . Picked it up 10 days ago, felt faster then any stock polais I have ever been on. First 4x4 I have riden that will put it on the back bumber by just hitting the gas. After 4hr of brake-in look out it realy flys!! Draged raced my son on his 97 shee, an off the line I pulled him by 10 feet an held him off for the first 100yds . But in high gear he walked away,(more like run). Then raced a 400ex on grass the same thing .I pulled him by 10 feet off the line, at the end of 1/8mile I had him by 5 or 6 feet. All I can say the yellow ones are one quick bike.

Just a thought. I remember back in the day when the "new" 99's came out. Of course I had to ride one and compare it to my 98 HO Scrambler. I too felt that the 99 seemed faster. However, my dealer said he hears that all the time. His explanation for the phenomenon is that the brand new machines have brand new belts. If I wanted to make mine feel like that...I should get a brand new belt too. In the end...I noticed during drag races that the 98's & 99's were the same for speed. The 2001's may be different....they may not be different. Just a thought guys.
